Task: Conduct Pilot Implementation Of Processes And Tools
The objective of this task is to execute a pilot implementation of processes and tools to uncover potential operational issues associated with production-like conditions. This is essential in order to address these issues before complete roll out of the processes and tools to all users.

Main Description

A pilot implementation allows Capgemini team to validate its approach for full processes and tools deployment. Executing an application pilot can uncover operability issues associated with production-like conditions and provide an opportunity to address these issues before roll out the processes and tools to all users. To effectively prepare for a pilot implementation,  Engagement Manager (Transition) should develop a detailed pilot approach, identify appropriate participants, plan the pilot environment, and determine how to monitor the pilot in concurrnce with Client stakeholders.

The pilot participants from both Capgemini and Client organization must know what their responsibilities are throughout the pilot.

Before the pilot launch, participants should understand:

  • The objective of the pilot as an opportunity to validate processes and tools including the communication channels
  • The pilot schedule including dates, durations, and locations
  • How the pilot results should be incorporated into the final tools deployment and corresponding processes materials.

To execute a successful pilot, it is essential to prepare the pilot audience, deploy a smooth pilot launch, ensure thorough pilot monitoring, and gather constructive feedback.
